If you are from the Twin Cities, you know that far too many days in recent memory have been filled with all kinds of nasty weather. Today was supposed to bring more storms, so I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to a beautiful day.
Being the brilliant person that I am, I decided it was a perfect time to take pictures! Brilliant, sure. Leave it to me to fail to recognize the foreseeable effect of leaving an empty kiddie pool in the yard through days of heavy rain.
IN THEY GO. Diapers, denim, and sweats.
I was right about one thing though: it was a perfect time to take pictures.

My blog and site will be going through some changes over the next week or so! Just a heads up that things might get a little crazy in the meantime.
Also, just a note that I am definitely having issues with the quality of images my usual host is currently providing, so things may seem a little iffy for a while as far as that goes! I'm working at sorting it all out and hopefully it will be resolved this weekend!

On Thursday I met with my cousin, Khrys, and his girlfriend, Sam in downtown Stillwater. Sam has been swooning over my work for ages, because I’m just that awesome. Oh, I do amuse myself. Anyway! I haven’t seen Khrys forever and was super excited to see him and meet Sam. Our other cousin, Ashley, tagged along – on crutches, no less!
Sam has worked miracles with this cousin of mine! It used to be impossible to capture a photo of him, and here he was, posing WILLINGLY (or at least without complaining) for hours!! A miracle, I tell you! Boys in love are just silly creature! =)
(Please excuse the small size, I seem to be experiencing some difficulty with flickr!)

As I mentioned in my previous post, this was a weekend of celebration for my family!
On Saturday we got together to welcome my cousin's newly adopted son, Dan, to the family. It has been a long and difficult road for Kathy and Tim on their quest to adopt a child. As you can imagine, they are overjoyed to finally become parents to a great kid.
Like Amber, they joined me outside to capture a few shots of them on this super special day.
Congratulations to you all!

I pulled my cousin and her big ol' belly outside during a party this weekend to get some shots - much to her dismay! She'll thank me later, I promise. I so wish I had done pregnancy photos during any of my pregnancies, but I am so much more comfortable BEHIND the camera, it's hard to drag me out.
Her mom and dad got in on the action as well, I am THRILLED with the results, I must say. Having "coloring book" parents makes for some great, interesting detail in a portrait =)

Not too long ago I had the pleasure of taking maternity photos for Leann and Eric. On May 24th they welcomed little Caleb into the world, and he is just the sweetest thing! He was an absolute joy to photograph and I am so looking forward to doing so again in the future.
He spent most of the session awake, alert, and incredibly content.
